Este
es mi primer post, y lo voy a utilizar para presentarme.
El
dato más importante que debéis conocer es que soy pota blava, que
quiere decir que soy de un pueblo cercano a Barcelona que se llama el
Prat de Llobregat.
He
estudiado física en la Universidad de Barcelona, y supongo que os
preguntaréis que porqué física, lo entiendo, mis amigos y mi
familia aún se lo preguntan, pero tiene fácil explicación.
Yo
desde bien pequeña quería estudiar medicina, pero cuando empecé
bachillerato conocí a mi profesor de física, Emilio, el mejor
profesor que he tenido, y me descubrió el mundo de la física,
concretamente el de las partículas. Así que en segundo de
bachillerato decidí que mi manera de ayudar a la gente era
investigar cómo funciona el mundo, sobretodo el mundo subatómico.
Descubrí el modelo estándar de partículas y apareció un nuevo
objetivo en mi vida, trabajar en el CERN.
Me
fascina el poder entender cómo funciona el mundo, cómo vuela un
avión, cómo funciona una máquina de resonancia magnética, cómo
puedo comunicarme con una persona que esta a cientos de kilómetros
de mi, etc.
En
este blog quiero compartir mi ilusión por cumplir este sueño y todo
lo que aprenda durante estos meses. Pretende ser una especie de
diario científico, donde iré explicando mi día a día en el
trabajo, mis aventuras viviendo sola (soy un poco desastre con las
cosas de casa en general) y la vida en una ciudad como Ginebra.
Hablaré mucho sobre física pero intentare hacerlo de una manera
sencilla y entretenida.

This is my first post, and I'm introducing myself.
The most important fact about me is that I'm Pota blava, this means tha't my hometown is El Prat de Llobregat, a village near Barcelona.
I have studied physics at University of Barcelona, and maybe you are asking yourself why physics, I know it's such strange, my family and friends don't understand either. Here comes the explanation.
When I was a kid I wanted to study medicine, but when I met my physics teacher in High School, Emilio, I discovered Phisycs, specifically particle physics. So, one year before starting the university I decided that the best way to hel people was investigate how the world works, especially subatomic world. I discovered standard model and a new goal appeared, my new dream was to work at CERN.
I'm really fascinated about understanding the laws of nature that rule the world, how can a plane fly, how a machine of magnetic ressonance works, how can I comunicate with someone that is about 100km far away from me, etc.
In this blog I want to share my excitment of fulfilling my dream and all that I will learn during this months. It expect to be something similar as a cientific diary, where I will explain my day-to-day at work, my adventures living on my own (I'm a disaster with the housework) and how is the life in a city as Geneve. I will talk a lot about physics but I'll try to do in an easy and entretaining way.
